En total se han aislado 10 diterpenos, 7 son esteres de ingenol y 3 son esteres estructuralmente relacionados con el ingol. Dos esteres de ingenol se describen por primera vez como productos naturales. Los cinco restantes se han descrito anteriormente corrigiendonse la estructura de tres de ellos. Los otros derivados aislados son estereoisomeros del ingol, que se describen por primera vez como productos naturales. Los compuestos principales aislados en e. Terracina son 26 diterpenos. Salvo un compuesto con esqueleto de ent-abietano, todos los demas son derivados de jatrofano y del nuevo tipo esqueletal 17-etiljatrofano. Todos ellos se describen por primera vez como productos naturales.  se realizaron ensayos para determinar actividades biologicas, comprobandose que presentan actividad antitumoral moderada. Los derivados de ingenol y epimeros de ingol contraen arterias basilares y relajan arterias carotidas de conejo.
