Se ha considerado de interes abordar el estudio de los herbicidas, ya que siendo una practica habitual la rotacion de cultivos, es posible que determinados tratamientos persistan lo suficiente como para poder afectar a cultivos posteriores. Los herbicidas estudiados fueron: imazametabenz-metil, trialato, clorsulfuron y tribenuron-metil, que se aplicaron sobre suelos representativos de nuestra comunidad. Se han desarrollado y probado distintos metodos de extraccion y de deteccion de sus residuos proponiendose para cada herbicida el procedimiento mas adecuado.  esta metodolog\u00eda se ha aplicado al estudio de la persistencia de los residuos de los herbicidas en suelos.  se han obtenido las correspondientes curvas de degradacion para cada herbicida en cada tipo de suelo.  los datos experimentales se han explicado por medio de sencillos modelos cineticos. Los procedimientos analiticos desarrollados se han adaptado a la determinacion de los residuos de los herbicidas en muestras de agua de lixiviado, en granos y paja de
