La presencia mayoritaria en disolucion de un n elevado a 1-n elevado a 2-enilo o un n elevado a 3-alilo de paladio se puede controlar mediante el ajuste de la temperatura y la reaccion de uno u otro tipo de derivados con co en presencia de base produce esteres organicos regioselectivamente. La evolucion de los complejos n elevado a1-n elevado a 2-enilo se produce a traves de las siguientes rutas, que en ocasiones operan de forma competitiva: a) migracion de paladio (eliminaciones y readiciones sucesivas de pd-h); b) ciclacion; c) ruptura del enlace c-x(x=o,si,cl,s), cuando el dieno tiene un eslabon sin hidrogenos y por tanto la migracion de pd esta bloqueada; d) eliminacion pd-h.  se ha sintetizado un derivado n elevado a 3-bencilo de pd que se descompone para dar especies hidruro de paladio y una olefina sustituida. Estas especies con la unidad pd-h reaccionan con dienos quirales para dar n elevado a 3-alilos y, por reaccion con co\/ome-, esteres enantiomericamente puros.
