En primer lugar, se determinan los parametros que intervienen en el proceso de formacion de las imagenes. En segundo lugar, se obtiene una descripcion estructural de la imagen.  utilizando una relacion de proximidad entre segmentos se obtiene un grafo, cuyos nodos capturan las propiedades individuales de los segmentos y los arcos, las propiedades topologicas y geometricas de cada pareja de segmentos. El proceso de puesta en correspondencia se inicia con una etapa de generacion de hipotesis.  utilizando diversas restricciones, se obtienen los posibles homologos de cada nodo de los grafos. Ademas, se evalua la compatibilidad entre las propiedades almacenadas en los arcos. Finalmente, basandose en las tecnicas de relajacion de etiquetas, se construye un problema de optimizacion para resolver las ambiguedades y obtener los emparejamientos
