En este trabajo se ha estudiado la actividad glutamatergica siguiendo la se\u00f1al de calcio citosolico en neuronas cerebelosas en cultivo primario. Se han caracterizado las vias de entrada de ca en las neuronas y en las glias: receptores de glutamato y depositos y canales de ca. La retirada del mg extracelular induce oscilaciones sincronicas de la ca que dependen de la formacion de conexiones sinapticas. La propagacion de la actividad electrica, los receptores de nmda y los canales de ca tipo p, son esenciales en la actividad sincronica.  adicionalmente, se han caracterizado dos factores presentes en el suero capaces de estimular selectivamente las neuronas y las glias de los cultivos de cerebelo: el glutamato y un lipido polar, respectivamente y que, en caso de disrupcion de la barrera
