Los sistemas analizados son:  precipitadores electrostaticos, sistema de molienda y circuito aire-gases, que suponen alrededor del 70% del consumo de auxiliares propios de un grupo termoelectrico y cerca del 90% de los auxiliares de caldera.  en cuanto a los precipitadores electrostaticos, se propone un metodo de diagnostico de fallos y optimizacion, basado en un nuevo modelo que utiliza medidas de planta junto con las curvas de rendimiento de dise\u00f1o. Mediante este procedimiento y otras medidas tomadas en planta, se desarrollan tablas sintoma-problema, para detectar malfunciones y proponer soluciones adecuadas. Para el sistema de molienda, se construyen dos modelos parciales del comportamiento del molino: la ventana de operacion y una correlacion experimental del consumo electrico en funcion de parametros de operacion. La ventana de operacion se utiliza para determinar la proximidad del punto de trabajo a los limites de funcionamiento seguro y, por tanto, las lineas de optimizacion que pueden estudiarse sin afectar a la operacion. La correlacion del consumo electrico en funcion de parametros de funcionamiento del molino (caudal de carbon, tama\u00f1o del carbon pulverizado, composicion de mezcla, horas de funcionamiento y caudal de aire) permite detectar si el molino consume mas de lo previsto.  a partir de estos procedimientos y medidas tomadas en planta, se desarrollan tablas sintoma-problema, para detectar y proponer soluciones asociadas a distintas malfunciones. Se proponen distintos estudios de optimizacion, que incluyen la reduccion del numero de molinos en servicio, alargamiento del periodo de sustitucion de las piezas de molienda, reduccion del caudal de
