Se establece la distribucion sincronica de los significados y algunas tablas que reflejan las relaciones y oposiciones entre los terminos, los sistemas lexicos usados por los principales teoricos, las lenguas de origen de cada termino, las relaciones entre los sistemas griego y latino, etc. Cierra esta seccion una reflexion sobre la expresion terminologica de los problemas de la descripcion.  en las siguientes secciones se analizan las consecuencias de la influencia de la retorica en la teoria de la descripcion en todo lo referente a la ficcion, la concepcion realista de la descripcion, la concepcion de la descripcion como adorno, la descripcion en la narratio retorica y la crisis de la descripcion.  para finalizar se intenta el establecimiento de una estetica de la descripcion fundamentada en la distincion entre pintura y literatura, lo indescriptible y la entidad del objeto descrito.  en las conclusiones se abordan las relaciones de la descripcion con la cultura, la
