Nos restringimos a dos situaciones fisicas bien conocidas: los sistemas autogravitantes de fermiones y al estudio de sistemas atomicos y, en particular, a las funciones de dispersion coherente e incoherente, a partir de una extension del metodo de thomas-fermi a temperatura finita. Nuestra propuesta para tratar los sistemas de fermiones a temperatura finita consiste en sustituir la funcion de distribucion de fermi-dirac por una geometria trapezoidal mas sencilla y ajustada para que coincida con el desarrollo de las integrales de fermi a bajas temperaturas.  con esta aproximacion se estudian sistemas autogravitantes de fermiones no relativistas y relativistas, los cuales son aplicados para proponer un candidato al halo de materia oscura que rodea las galaxias espirales.
