En los solidos moleculares, los dadores se encuentran formando pilas de forma que sus orbitalesm se solapan y se forman bandas de conduccion. En las sales de transferencia de carga de estequiometria 2:1, la transferencia de carga es parcial, asi la ocupacion de la banda de conduccion tambien es parcial y se cumplen asi los dos requisitos necesarios para que se transporte electronico en los solidos moleculares. Asi las sales de transferencia de carga estudiadas de estequiometria 2:1 han resultado ser conductoras.  en el campo de los solidos moleculares con propiedades magneticas, se han estudiado estructuralmente una serie de radicales de la familia de los alfa-nitronil nitroxidos sustituidos con grupos oh. Se ha visto que en los solidos, los radicales se encuentran formando una red a traves de enlaces de hidrogeno, los cuales son capaces de generar y propagar interacciones magneticas, tanto ferro como
