Se aplicaron tecnicas de hibridacion in situ fluorescente (fish) son sondas genomicas humana y de hamster, determinandose a dosis de 4 gy que el 98.4% de los micronucleos tenia un origen humano.  el analisis de los embriones a dos celulas mostro la existencia de una correlacion lineal entre la frecuencia de micronucleos inducidos y las distintas dosis de irradiacion de espermatozoides humanos. Tambien, se encontro una buena correlacion cuando se compararon la induccion de micronucleos con la presencia de roturas o fragmentos acentricos en complementos derivados de espermatozoides.  para caracterizar el contenido cromosomico de los micronucleos se aplicaron tecnicas de fish con sondas telomericas (t) y centromericas (c). Un 77% de los micronucleos eran t+c- indicando que provienen mayoritariamente de fragmentos acentricos. Ademas, tanto los micronucleos c+ como los c- aumentan con la dosis de irradiacion indicando que las radiaciones ionizantes tienen un efecto basicamente clastogenico y que tambien inducen aneuploidia
