De los resultados obtenidos se han extraido las siguientes conclusiones: 1) la prolactina en higado inicia su accion celular estimulando la asociacion a su receptor y la actividad de la tirosina quinasa pp60 c-src; 2) la prolactina en higado induce la expresion de los protooncogenes nucleares c-fos y c-jun, y del protooncogen c-src; 3) en fibroblastos 293 donde se sobreexpresan los receptores de prolactina, esta induce la fosforilacion en tirosina de las proteinas se\u00f1alizadoras irs-1 y fosfatidilinositol 3-quinasa y su asociacion al receptor de prolactina; 4) finalmente, en celulas epiteliales de glandula mamaria la coexpresion de la isoforma corta con la isoforma larga del receptor de prolactina de rata silencia el efecto de la prolactina sobre la induccion de la respuesta
