Dada la importancia que juegan las lesiones geneticas en la aparicion de procesos tumorales y la diversa respuesta a la radio y quimioterapia, parece logico pensar que la eficacia de estos tratamientos pueda estar modulada por la presencia ausencia de dichas lesiones. La apoptosis ha cobrado un auge excepcional en los ultimos a\u00f1os en el mundo de la oncolog\u00eda por dos motivos: puede explicar la aparicion de determinados tumores y es el mecanismo de accion ultimo de muchos de los tratamientos actuales. La apotosis es un proceso biologico que esta controlado por distintos genes y cuya presencia se ha demostrado en distintos tumores.  para ver las posibles relaciones entre la presencia de determinados oncogenes y genes supresores de tumores frente a agentes quimioterapeuticos y radiacion, se analizo la respuesta en un modelo de queratinocitos murinos (pam 212) transformados con una unica lesion genetica. En nuestro modelo las celulas con expresion del gen \u00abela\u00bb de adenovirus mostraron mayor sensibilidad a los tratamientos que conllevan da\u00f1o al adn. Esta sensibilidad se vio acompa\u00f1ada de la induccion de apoptosis, fenomeno que en este modelo experimental se puede presentar como un proceso independiente del gen supresor de tumores p53. Al estudiar el efecto de \u00abela\u00bb en lineas celulares tumorales murinas (haca-4, msc11-a5) se observo el mismo fenomeno quimio y radio sensibilizante, siendo superior que en las celulas controles pam 212.  igualmente la induccion de apoptosis fue independiente de p53, como se desprende de la respuesta obtenida en la linea celular msc11-a5, que presenta mutuaciones en ambos alelos para el gen p53. Mas aun, en dicha linea celular elgen ela anulo la capacidad tumorogenica en ensayos con ratones atimicos.  por todo ello se concluye que el estudio y deteccion de
