Esta propiedad permite definir el problema como el dedividir la seal de voz en segmentos con significado semantico.  se han desarrollado tecnicas para modelas el lenguaje semantico, para modelar cada unidad semantica y para el modelado acustico-fonetico, estas tecnicas pueden utilizarse en un amplio rango de problemas de reconocimiento del habla el sistema es capaz de descodificar exactamente el contenido semantico de mas del 80% de las consultas. El aprendizaje de los modelos es independiente del corpus de evaluacion tanto en los locutores como en los contenidos semanticos y foneticos.  la tecnica de busqueda en haz, conducida por los datos,
