Esas propiedades pueden encontrarse en nuestro objeto original y querer, entonces, que se preserven en la proyeccion. Por ejemplo, un conjunto de segmentos disjuntos en el espacio a cuya proyeccion exigimos que los mantenga disjuntos. O, nuestro interes puede centrarse sobre las propiedades de las proyecciones intrinsecamente, independientemente de los objetos en el espacio. Asi es el caso cuando buscamos proyecciones que maximicen el numero de intersecciones de un conjunto disjunto de segmentos. Podemos acu\u00f1ar el termino de proyecciones de calidad para denominar a las proyecciones con ciertas propiedades. Distintos criterios para la calidad determinan las proyecciones que se desean en cada contexto.  las proyecciones de calidad que se han estudiado son las regulares de objetos poligonales, las simples (con especial hincapie en las proyecciones con numero minimo de cortes), las proyecciones monotonas de arboles y cadenas en el espacio, las proyecciones no degeneradas y, por ultimo, las proyecciones
