El primero de ellos parte de la solucion de la ecuacion de transporte de calor con una fuente lineal en movimiento para, estableciendo el balance de energias macroscopico y el equilibrio de presiones en el canal de absorcion a cada profundidad de la pieza, obtener la geometria tridimensional completa de la soldadura (penetracion del canal y dimensiones del ba\u00f1o fundido). El segundo de los modelos establece un criterio de equilibrio en todos los puntos de la frontera plasma-liquido, lo cual permite, una vez evaluados los principales mecanismos de absorcion de la luz laser, describir en detalle la distribucion de temperaturas en todas las fases, las densidades electronicas en el seno del canal de absorcion, las cantidades relevantes asociadas al proceso de ablacion y la geometria tridimensional completa de la soldadura.
