El trabajo ha servido de base para dar a conocer el unico ejemplo que aun hoy se conserva en la comunidad Valenciana, nos referimos a los telones cuaresmales de la iglesia parroquial de san lucas evangelista de cheste. Desde un estudio historico se ha conocido el origen y motivo de estos telones, su tradicion liturgica y su uso especifico y restringido en los oficios de semana santa. Sin embargo, la investigacion se ha centrado sobre todo en el estudio detallado del estado de conservacion de las distintas piezas, con especial atencion a la manipulacion de que son objeto durante su exhibicion y a las caracteristicas de su almacenamiento, asi como a las condiciones ambientales de la estancia, factores principales de su deterioro. Complementando el estudio con una pruebas de laboratorio que han facilitado la identificacion de los materiales que componen la obra: el tipo de soporte textil, la tecnica pictorica y los elementos de sujecion.  el trabajo ha concluido, tas una serie de ensayos sobre modelos experimentales con la propuesta de los tratamientos y materiales mas adecuados para su rstauracion, asi como el dise\u00f1o
