Cristina <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>El creciente interes por la optimizacion de la distribucion de las plantas industriales ha generado la necesidad de disponer de metodos sistematicos para abordar este problema. Durante las ultimas decadas un notable numero de autores ha iniciado y desarrollado diversas lineas de investigacion en la materia.  la tesis doctoral que se presenta se desarrolla en el ambito de la computacion evolucionista. En ella se propone un metodo de optimizacion para la generacion de distribuciones de plantas industriales, en la fase de \u00ablayout\u00bb de conjunto, basado en algoritmos geneticos (ag) y arboles de corte (ac).  la formulacion multicriterio del problema pone de manifiesto la complejidad del mismo. El metodo propuesto proporciona distribuciones que son soluciones de compromiso entre los objetivos perseguidos por los diferentes criterios.
