Para articular este sentido, se utiliza el paradigma worringer, clasicismo\/goticismo, recurrente en la historia de las manifestaciones artisticas. Mediante el analisis textual de obras concretas, se comprueba la validez teorica de este enfoque para entender los significantes esteticos actuales -bajo fuerte influencia de los medios de comunicacion de masas- y la escision entre tendencias clasicistas y goticistas o vanguardistas. Asi, se compara la arquitectura de poelzig con su escenografia para el film \u00abel golem\u00bb, el montaje clasico de griffith en \u00abintolerancia\u00bb con la concepcion monumentalista de rossi, el discurso televisivo con las obras de venturi y moore, la polisemia de \u00abel malvado zaroff\u00bb con el sentido fantastico de los dise\u00f1os de hollein.
