En este estudio se establece que gm-csf induce diferenciacion monocitica en las lineas leucemicas mieloides humanas u937 y hl60, y que tnf alfa diferencia a las celuas hl6\/ hacia monocitos pero produce muerte ceular por apoptosis en las celulas u937. Tambien se demuestra que gm-csf produce la activacion de la enzima transductora pi-3-kinasa y la cumulacion de pluins (3,4,5) py. Este lipido es el unico segundo mensajero identificacion hasta el momento como mediador de las acciones de gm-csf. En otro apartado de esta tesis se estudia el efecto de tnf alfa sobre los proto-oncogenes fos\/jun y las vias de se\u00f1alizacion que median la induccion de etos genes por esta
