Esta informacion resulta util tanto para lograr un incremento en los niveles de produccion de los antibioticos en estudio como para obtener datos acerca de su ruta biosintetica.  asi mismo, se ha planteado el estudio de otras antividades producidas por el microorganismo, cuyo espectro de accion presenta diferencias respecto de los otros grupos ya descritos, segun se desprende de ensayos
