Demostrandose que las cepas detectadas por este metodo poseian secuencias que podrian codificar xilanasas.  en dos de estas cepas, streptomyces avermitilis 30uah y streptomyces chattanoogensis 23uah, se han aislado y caracterizado secuencias de adn homologas al gen que codifica para la xilanasa xys1 de streptomyces halstedii.  la primera de estas secuencias posee una secuencia abierta de lectura incompleta, llamada x1n30, que codifica para una xilanasa de la familia f.  en cuanto a la segunda, la secuencia abierta de lectura se llamo x1n23. Esta secuencia puede codificar para una enzima bifuncional con actividad xilanolitica y arabinofuranosidasa. Con una estructura multimodular constituida por los dominios cataliticos de ambas enzimas, un dominio de conexion y otro de union a xilano.  por ultimo, se demostro que la transformacion streptomyces lividans con un vector que contenia la secuencia x1n23 inducia la expresion de las actividades xilanolitica y arabinofuranosidasa.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis doctoral
