Carmen <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>En la presente tesis se tratan diversos aspectos de la biolog\u00eda del factor de transcripci\u00f3n foxj2, perteneciente a la familia forkhead. En primer lugar se caracteriza el gen humano de foxj2, codifica por 2 isoformas una larga l y otra corta, s, generados por splicing diferencial. El gen est\u00e1 formado por ii exones, los 8 primeros y parte del 9 comunes a cada isoforma. Ambos isoformas se expresan simult\u00e1neamente en varias l\u00edneas celulares. El gen foxj2 tiene 2 sitios de inicio de la transcripci\u00f3n. La regi\u00f3n 400 pb r\u00edo arriba de estos sitios tiene actividad promotora dependiente de tipo celular, presentando mayor capacidad en aquellas celulas donde m\u00e1s se expresa. En segundo lugar se aborda la caracterizaci\u00f3n de foxj2 en rat\u00f3n, presenta 89% de homolog\u00eda con respecto a foxj2 humano, conservando completamente la secuencia aminoac\u00eddica del dominio forkhead del dominio i, dominio ii y acidic blob. El arn mensajero de foxj2 se expresa en la mayor\u00eda de los tejidos adultos de rat\u00f3n aunque con diferentes niveles y no se expresa en todas las c\u00e9lulas dentro de un tejido. Foxj2 se expresa muy tempranos durante el desarrollo embrionario detect\u00e1ndose ya en el estadio de 8 c\u00e9lulas.
