Despues del deficit hidrico se midieron parametros hidricos foliares; de productividad vegetal; intercambio gaseoso; contenidos endogenos de fitohormonas (acido abscisico y citoquininas), de macro y micronutrientes y solutos organicos en las hojas y raices; actividad fosfatasa acida en las raices y, en los tratamientos asociados a rhizobium, contenidos en proteina y leghemoglobina y actividad glutamato oxalacetato transaminasa en los nodulos. Los resultados obtenidos llevaron a la conclusion de que la micorrizacion confiere a las plantas de alfalfa una mayor resistencia frente a condiciones de estres hidrico, traduciendose en mayores tasas fotosinteticas, mantenimiento de los contenidos foliares de nutrientes, menores indices de senescencia y una mayor actividad nodular cuando las plantas estan asociadas a rhizobium.  este efecto positivo no se da, al menos exclusivamente, a traves de un mejor estado hidrico, sino que existen factores de tipo hormonal directamente relacionados con los parametros fisiologicos y de
