Desde la teoria del conocimiento de leonardo polo, se recoge la nocion aristotelica de intelecto agente, colocado antropologicamente como equivalente al acto de ser personal, se formula una continuacion heuristica de las nociones tradicionales y se procura mostrar la originalidad estrictamente intelectual del acceso a lo real viable desde la iluminacion del intelecto agente. De este modo se siente un realismo intelectualista, que, en lugar de apoyarse en el conocimiento sensitivo, destaca el caracter luminoso del ser del universo en tanto que con el coexiste el ser
