Para ello se plantean tres estrategias. A) a partir de 2-desoxi-1-selenoglicosidos mediante eliminacion de selenoxido (cap i) y que ha sido culminada con exito; b) mediante reacciones de ciclacion 5-endo-trig de homoalquenoles inducidos por reactivos de selenio, (cap 2) explorada pero no finalizada y c) a traves de reacciones de fragmentacion de 3-0-triflil piranosas (cap 3). Este ultimo metodo condujo a furanosas ramificadas, la cuales fueron utilizadas como producto de partida para preparar un nuevo tipo de nucleosidos biciclicos y ramificados (cap 4) y para la sintesis
