La investigacion sobre el origen, caracterizacion y trazabilidad de estos vertidos, constituyen el trabajo que fundamenta esta tesis doctoral.  para llevar a cabo la caracterizacion del vertido se han puesto a punto las tecnicas analiticas para la preparacion de las muestras (concentracion y extraccion), identificacion y cuantificacion de las especies organicas quimicas presentes.  en las aguas del vertido industrial se detectaron de forma sistematica materias primas, productos finales y productos intermedios de reaccion, compuestos que son tambien identificados en el cauce receptor, debido posiblemente al caracter no biodegradable de las sustancias implicadas. En el rio cinca se detectaron otros contaminantes que pudieran tener su origen en la agricultura, otras actividades industriales, vertidos domesticos u origen natural.  por ultimo se ha investigado sobre la aplicacion de tecnicas de oxidacion con ozono y ozono combinado con agua oxigenada, para intentar la degradacion quimica de los contaminantes presentes en el vertido, estudiando las
