Cuando las plaquetas se activan por contacto con superficies artificiales, la interaccion es dificil de prevenir, por ello, las estrategias farmacologicas fracasan en la mayoria de los casos en la prevencion de la interaccion plaquetaria sobre ellas. Los objetivos planteados fueron:  1. Secuenciar los mecanismos por los cuales las plaquetas interaccionan con una superficie artificial, en ausencia de flujo. 2. Desarrollar un modelo in vitro para determinar la adhesion de las plaquetas sobre poliester.  3. Comparar la deposicion plaquetaria sobre la superficie artificial y una superficie vascular trombogenica. 4.  estudiar el efecto de los antiagregantes plaquetarios en la interaccion sobre un biomaterial. Metodolog\u00eda:  adhesion de plaquetas sobre poliester en estatico:  extension plaquetaria sobre cubreobjetos y valoracion morfologica mediante microscopia optica y electronica de barrido. Adhesion plaquetaria sobre poliester en flujo:  perfusion in vitro de sangre mediante camaras de perfusion plana y anular; valoracion morfometrica en face y en secciones transversales mediante microscopia optica.  expresion de los resultados en porcentaje de superficie cubierta por las plaquetas y estimacion de la altura de los agregados formados. Resultados y conclusiones: el modelo in vitro desarrollado para estudiar la interaccion plaquetaria con una superficial es util para evaluar la realidad la reactividad de distintos polimeros. La glicoproteina iib-iii a tiene un papel fundamental en la interaccion de las plaquetas sobre superficies artificiales. El bloqueo de la enzima ciclooxigenasa o del receptor del tromboxano disminuyen significativamente la interaccion de las plaquetas sobre poliester.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de
