Para ello se han estudiado los efectos que ejercen sobre la velocidad de disolucion del oro la velocidad de agitacion, la concentracion inicial de cianuro, la concentracion del oxigeno, la temperatura, el ph y la lixiviacion previa.  los resultados obtenidos indican que el orden cinetico aparente del cianuro es proximo a 0.5. En atmosfera de aire, en funcion de las diferentes variables, la reduccion de oxigeno posee dos o cuatro electrones. La etapa controlante de la reaccion, en funcion de las variables es diferente. La cinetica de la cianuracion de oro es un proceso complejo, en el cual las diferentes variables son interdependientes. Por este motivo, el proceso no se puede describir con una ecuacion matematica sencilla. La velocidad de disolucion de oro es funcion tambien de la orientacion cristalina de los granos en su estructura.
