A nivel clinico se producen una serie de cambios hemodinamicos tras la reperfusion del injerto, que en ocasiones se acompa\u00f1a de alteraciones de la funcion hepatica precoz. La etiolog\u00eda de este sindrome no esta bien establecida. La lesion histologica se produce por la llegada de oxigeno a un organo que previamente ha estado en hipoxia e isquemia. A nivel experimental se ha relacionado la produccion de prostaglandinas, tromboxanos y radicales libres de oxigeno por el higado donante, durante el periodo de isquemia, como la responsable del sindrome de isquemia-reperfusion.  el objetivo de la presente tesis es estudiar en el ser humano, la relacion entre prostaglandinas, tromboxanos y radicales libres de oxigeno con las alteraciones hemodinamicas y con la funcion precoz del injerto durante el trasplante de higado.  se estudian dos grupos de pacientes: en el primero se analizan los niveles sistemicos de prostaciclina y tromboxano a2 y se relacionan con los parametros hemodinamicos durante el trasplante, cuyo resultado indica una ausencia de relacion entre la prostaciclina y el tromboxano a2 respecto a los cambios hemodinamicos producidos tras la reperfusion del injerto hepatico. En la segunda parte de la tesis se estudia la produccion local de prostaciclina, tromboxano a2 y radicales libres y su relacion con la funcion precoz del injerto, cuyo resultado indica una mejor funcion de los higados donantes con un nivel elevado de prostaciclina determinada a los 5 minutos tras la reperfusion y una peor funcion en aquellos que presentaban produccion de radicales libres de
