Se ha dedicado un especial interes al estudio de la organizacion de las profirinas en las anteriores interfases y a la relacion existente entre dicha organizacion y las propiedades espectroscopicas y electroquimicas de las peliculas formadas.  en primer lugar, se realiza una revision sobre la formacion de monocapas de langmuir de m-tpp en la interfase aire-agua. A continuacion se lleva a cabo su estudio electroquimico en medio homogeneo, observandose la condensacion bidimensional de estas porfirinas en la interfase dmso-hg. El analisis mediante voltametria ciclica y las curvas de capacidad-potencial pone de manifiesto que se trata de un proceso de transicion de fase bidimensional de naturaleza no faradaica.  posteriormente se estudia el empaquetamiento parcial de una profirina soluble (tmpyp) en monocapas complejas con un fosfolipido, mediante el analisis de las isotermas presion supervidial- area por molecula y los espectros de reflexion en la interfase aire-agua. Para tener un mayor conocimiento sobre la organizacion de la porfirina en la monocapas mixtas con lipidos se realizan estudios mediante microscopia de angulo brewster y de transferencia de energia. Para finalizar, por una parte, se analizan las propiedades electroquimicas de peliculas mixtas de langmuir-blodgett y, por otra, se estudia la influencia del contenido salino en la subfase acuosa
