Cruz <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Las especiales caracteristicas del lhc hacen que sea necesario desarrollar detectores muy rapidos (&lt; 15 ns), capaces de soportar altos flujos de particulas y ademas muy resistentes a la radiacion, especialmente en el caso de detectores situados en zonas de 2.5&lt;- n  &#8211; 5.0 tales como los calorimetros a bajo angulo.En este trabajo se muestra que las camaras de planos paralelos (ppc) (detectores gaseosos trabajando en modo de avalancha) reunen estas exigencias y que un calorimetro segmentado con hierrocomo absorbente y ppcs como medio activo, presenta las prestaciones adecuadas para ser utilizado como calorimetro a bajo angulo.Para ello se han dise\u00f1ado y probado distintos tipos de camaras ppcs con las que se han construido diferentes prototipos calorimetricos que han sido probados en haces de particulas midiendose sus prestaciones con dos gases diferentes (co2) puro y una mezcla de cf4 y co2 a diferentes voltajes.Se ha desarrollado a su vez un modelo montecarlo capaz de simular el modo de operacion de las ppcs que reproduce adecuadamente los resultados experimentales obtenidos y que permite hacer predicciones realistas para cualquier configuracion y tama\u00f1o asi como estudiar la contribucion de tal calorimetro a la fisica del experimento cms en el lhc.A su vez, se ha estudiado por montecarlo los fenomenos inducidos por los altos flujos de neutrones en el interior del calorimetro y se han hecho tambien calculos sobre la irradiacion y activacion en el mismo.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis doctoral \u00ab<strong>Camaras de planos paralelos y su aplicacion en calorimetria a bajo angulo en experimentos en el lhc.<\/strong>\u00ab<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>T\u00edtulo de la tesis:<\/strong>\u00a0 Camaras de planos paralelos y su aplicacion en calorimetria a bajo angulo en experimentos en el lhc. <\/li>\n<li><strong>Autor:<\/strong>\u00a0  Fouz Iglesias M.
