Tras una primera parte en que se pasa revista a la situacion historica y actual de c.A.E.L., El capitulo central del trabajo se detiene en la fase experimental, dise\u00f1ada yb estructurada en torno a los siguientes pilares basicos: 1) seleccion de unas estructuras gramaticales basicas que ofrecen dificultad al alumno para su aprendizaje -en concreto, la interrogacion, negacion; \u00abquestions tags\u00bb, condicionales, estilo indirecto y voz pasiva y la elaboracion de programas (\u00absoftware\u00bb) producido \u00abad hoc\u00bb para su ense\u00f1anza. 2) comprobacion de la efectividad del uso de dichos programas en la ense\u00f1anza de las estructuras mencionadas, con grupos de alumnos de ense\u00f1anza secundaria de granada. Para ello, se han establecido grupos de contraste y seguimiento. Los datos, obtenidos en el periodo 1992-1996, constituyen el nucleo de este trabajo de investigacion. 3) evaluacion de los programas elaborados por los profesores y los alumnos que los han empleado, atendiendo a diversos parametros, que se proponen como modelo de ficha de evaluacion para cualquier tipo de programas c.A.E.L. 4) actitud de los docentes presentes y futuros hacia el uso de c.A.E.L., para lo cual se han administrado encuestas a distintos colectivos. El trabajo finaliza con la demostracion, avalada por los datos estadisticos, de la superioridad de la eficacia y efectividad de c.A.E.L.
