Dualismo. En 1912, mediante su doctrina de los datos de los sentidos, intenta resolver el problema del fundamento de la fisica, la materia y el espacio; adopta una actitud metafisica-epistemologica, en la que establece una relacion cognoscitiva-causal. En 1914-15, el problema del conocimiento del mundo externo lo resuelve mediante el analisis logico de las creencias y la construccion logica del mundo externo (espacio de perspectivas y materia); abandona el solipsismo, acepta el testimonio ajeno e introduce la doctrina de los sensibilia, como complemento de los datos de los sentidos; fracasando asi en su programa empirista-fenomenista.  2a parte. Monismo neutral. En 1921 acepta el monismo neutral y la teoria de las \u00abapariencias\u00bb como solucion del problema. La mente y la materia solo son construcciones logicas; rechaza la conciencia y elimina los sensibilia y los datos de los sentidos, que identifica con las sensaciones regidas por leyes causales psicologicas-fisicas, cuya dualidad es incompatible con su monismo neutral. En 1927 resuelve el problema mediante la doctrina de los \u00absucesos\u00bb; adopta el fenomenismo y la teoria causal de la percepcion.
