Estas alternativas de consumo estan transformando la estructura economica en la que descansaba tradicionalmente el sector audiovisual. La digitalizacion y comprension de la se\u00f1al de video permite que los videoservicios se desarrollen por diferentes canales y soportes, lo que crea ciertas incertidumbres sobre la construccion de las autopistas de la informacion, los nuevos soportes digitales (dvd, videodisco, &#8230;) Y los satelites digitales. La aparicion de los videoservicios tienen una clara influencia en las audiencias, en la programacion y en la produccion audiovisual. El mercado digital no esta llamado a sustituir los modelos tradicionales de television, sino mas bien a convivir con ellos. Desde una perspectiva historica, esta tesis estudia las razones de la crisis de la television publica y la insuficiencia que muestran las formas tradicionales de financiacion (canon, publicidad), las diferentes innovaciones tecnologicas y sus alternativas, la evolucion del consumo audiovisual, los diferentes modelos de television de pago en el contexto internacional, la situacion de partida de los videoservicios en espa\u00f1a, un estudio prospectivo propio basado en la metodolog\u00eda \u00abdelphi\u00bb y los impactos de la aparicion de las nuevas modalidades de pago directo por consumo
