Se han ideado un conjunto de tecnicas para la simulacion de estos sistemas. Se han tratado modelos de adn duros y blandos, con carga homogenea y discreta asi como cilindricos y que incorporan la forma de la macromolecula. Se ha desarrollado un modelo con carga discreta que incorpora la forma de adn que describe de forma precisa un conjunto de propiedades experimentales. A alta concentracion de sal se han identificado toda una seria de efectos estructurales nuevos en la envolvente ionica del adn. Se ha estudiado como varia esta envolvente con el tama\u00f1o y carga de los iones.  se ha ideado un metodo para la determinacion de la diferencia de energia libre entre dos conformeros de un polielectrolito que se ha aplicado a la transicion b-z del adn, lo que ha permitido contrastar una seria de teorias. Se ha mostrado el papel de la forma del adn en la descripcion de la transicion. Por primera vez se dispone de una explicacion de la misma en terminos estructurales.
