Y oral, dosis unica de 8 mg\/kg, y los niveles tisulares de ciprofloxacina y sus principales metabolitos tras dosis multiple oral de 8 mg\/kg\/dia, 4 dias consecutivos. El analisis de las concentraciones plasmaticas y tisulares de ciprofloxacina y sus metabolitos se llevo a cabo por hplc. Las concentraciones plasmaticas obtenidas de ciprofloxacina y de sus metabolitos-oxo-ciprofloxacina y desetilen-ciprofloxacina frente al tiempo se ajustan adecuadamente a un modelo abierto bicompartimental. Los parametros farmacocineticos plasmaticos que describen las fases de absorcion, distribucion y eliminacion de la ciprofloxacina demuestran que la ciprofloxacina se absorbe ampliamente tras administracion oral (f: 69,13%; cmax: 2,63  mcg\/ml y tmax: 0,36 h). La ciprofloxacina sufre un amplio metabolismo siendo los principales metabolitos oxo-ciprofloxacina y desetilen-ciprofloxacina. La ciprofloxacina y sus principales metabolitos oxo-ciprofloxacina y desetilen-ciprofloxacina se eliminan lentamente del organismo (t1\/2beta: 11,89, 7,48 y 9,17 h, respectivamente). La ciprofloxacina y sus metabolitos se distribuyen ampliamente en los tejidos. Los residuos tisulares de ciprofloxacina declinan lentamente alcanzandose un rango de 0,011 a 0,69  mcg\/g en tejidos (en un orden creciente) pulmon, grasa, musculo, piel, higado y ri\u00f1on a los 5 dias tras la administracion de la ultima dosis. A los 12 dias tras administracion de la ultima dosis, las concentraciones de ciprofloxacina solo se detectaron en grasa (0,005 mcg\/g) y en higado (0,007 mcg\/g).
