Estan constituidas por coronas concentricas de plasma cuasineutro separadas por saltos sucesivos de potencial, y constituyen la primera observacion experimental de capas dobles multiples en una descarga electrica. Se analiza el impacto de la ionizacion local, las funciones de distribucion electronicas entre saltos sucesivos de potencial y su impacto en la corriente transportada a traves de la estructura.  seguidamente extendimos nuestras observaciones a procesos de coleccion de corriente electronica de un plasma ambiente empleando un electrodo emisor de gas neutro.  para polarizaciones positivas respecto del plasma por encima de un cierto umbral se desarrolla una znica capa doble asociada a un importante incremento de la corriente electronica drenada del plasma. Los resultados experimentales evidencian que los electrones acelerados por la capa doble son responsables de la intensa ionizacion existente en el plasma adyacente al electrodo colector.  finalmente se estudia experimentalmente el proceso de emision de electrones generando localmente un plasma que se polariza respecto del entorno de modo que los electrones escapen al ambiente. Los resultados no muestran evidencia de capas dobles permaneciendo la nube de plasma cuasineutra.
