La caracterizacion se centra en las parametros referidos al substrato y al recubrimiento. El trabajo experimental y desarrollo analiticos se basan en la espectrogoniometria automatica como tecnica basica, consistente en poder medir en un haz luminoso reflejado o transmitido la longitud de onda y los angulos de incidencia y observacion a la muestra, en forma independiente y en barridos de datos automatizados.  se aborda una clasificacion y revision de los metodos convencionales en un contexto general relacionado con tecnicas fotometricas e interferometricas. A esta revision se a\u00f1aden aspectos no considerados habitualmente y que pertuban la metodolog\u00edas mas convencionales como puedan ser la rugosidad en superficies, la inhomogenidad y la anisotropia.  en particular se define el concepto de extremo de envolvente en una curva fotometrica para tratar apropiadamente los datos con recubrimientos de un cierto grosor (mayor o igual a 0.2 micro m). Se introducen nuevos metodos de analisis no considerados hasta la fecha (metodos direnea, direnadal y dircofret fundamentalmente). Por ultimo se mejoran metodos de analisis ya introducidos anteriormente como pueda ser el metodo vamfo.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis doctoral
