A un lado motivos esteticos de orden secundario, estas cuatro poetisas muestran una serie de rasgos comunes, los cuales llevan a diferenciar diafanamente su obra de la de sus sucesoras. Ellas van a enfrentar su estro personal e intimo a un mundo dominado por lo eterno varonil. Son cuatro espiritus aislados propensos a crear un ambito restringido, al margen de convenciones sociales o de tendencias literarias propias de la epoca. El contenido natural de esta poesia es espontaneo y preciso en cuanto a sus pretensiones.
