A este periodo de tiempo tras la unx, se observo un aumento significativo del tgf-beta bioactivo en el medio condicionado de tubulos proximales y de las ctp, asociado a un incremento de la expresion del arnm de tgf-beta1. Tambien se observo una mayor tincion intracelular con un anticuerpo monoclonal anti-tgf-beta1,beta2,beta3 y con un anticuerpo policlonal anti-tgf-beta panespecifico, en los tubulos de la corteza renal y en las ctp, a los 14 dias tras la unx; comparada con la de estos tubulos y celulas procedentes de ri\u00f1on de conejos sometidos a operacion simulada (snx). El analisis de scatchard de la union del tgf-beta1 a los tubulos proximales de ri\u00f1on control, presento dos tipos de sitios de union, con valores de kd de 21 y 208 pm, y de bmax de 33 y 104 fmol\/mg de proteina. A los 7 y 14 dias tras la unx, los valores de la kd no variaron significativamente respecto a los de los animales snx. Sin embargo, la bmax aumento en paralelo con el incremento de la relacion proteina\/adn observado en los tubulos proximales a los 14 dias tras la unx. La union covalente del (125i)tgf-beta1 a los tubulos proximales unx o snx revelo la presencia de tres bandas de proteinas, correspondientes a pesos moleculares aparentes de 200, 85, y 63 kda. La incubacion de las ctp con tgf-beta1 exogeno resulto antiproliferativo para estas celulas, e indujo hipertrofia en presencia del factor de crecimiento epidermico (egf).
