La cristalizacion se produjo en el interior de un gel de tms (tetrametoxisilano) y por el metodo de \u00abdrowning-out\u00bb. El empleo de un medio de cristalizacion de movilidad restringida como es el gel tms permite obtener elevados niveles de metaestabilidad.  ello conduce al desarrollo de fenomenos tales como la inversion de las secuencias de cristalizacion, formacion de epitaxias y transformaciones de fases. Todos estos fenomenos representan una respuesta de los sistemas de cristalizacion a condiciones alejadas del equilibrio.  tanto las epitaxias como las transformaciones de fases han sido explicadas
