Por una parte, la existencia de algebras con realizacion genetica admitiendo mas de un homomorfismo o peso nos ha motivado a generalizar el concepto de algebra tren para algebras k-baricas: algebras k-tren. Estas algebras pueden modelizar procesos con un numero finito mayor que uno de idempotentes.  por otra parte aspectos importantes en las algebras tren de rango mayor que tres no son bien conocidos: existencia de idempotentes, dimensiones de las subalgebras generadas por un elemento; ecuacion tren plenaria; condiciones necesarias para la existencia de una descomposicion de peirce; conexiones con las algebras de potencias asociativas y de jordan, asi como con las algebras geneticas, tren especiales y algebras de bernstein de orden mayor que uno.
