El anestro estacional es mas marcado en la especie silvestre. La evolucion anual de prolactina evoluciona con niveles superiores en la muflona. El perfil de secrecion de melatonina en la muflona muestra un ritmo diario de secrecion similar al de la oveja, con niveles basales en periodo de luz y altos durante la noche y una amplitud media inferior que en la oveja en los solsticios. En la muflona, el incremento de la amplitud de melatonina en el equinoccio de oto\u00f1o precede al comienzo de la actividad reproductiva en octubre. La duracion del intervalo parto\/1 ovulacion esta determinado por el hecho de que el parto se produzca en la estacion favorable o desfavorable. La pubertad esta determinada por el grado de desarrollo corporal y epoca del a\u00f1o, requiriendo la muflona un desarrollo superior.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis
