Mar Ramos Tejada <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Se han estudiado las propiedades de la interfase arcilla\/disolucion acuosa y el comportamiento reol\u00f3gico de suspensiones acuosas de arcilla.  el material de partida es una arcilla de origen natural (montmorillonita) de un yacimiento de almeria (espa\u00f1a). Esta arcilla se sometio a un proceso de homoionizaci\u00f3n  hasta obtener montmorillonita s\u00f3dica (namt). Se determin\u00f3 su composicion quimica por varios metodos, asi como la forma y tama\u00f1o de las particulas (microscopia electronica) y la superficie especifica (adsorcion de nitrogeno).  se procedi\u00f3 a estudiar las propiedades de la interfase arcilla\/disolucion en distintas condiciones del medio acuoso (ph y fuerza ionica). En particular, se midi\u00f3 el potencial zeta y la energia libre superficial del material en su conjunto, asimilable a los de las caras de las particulas laminares de namt. Asimismo, se estimo el potencial zeta y la energia libre superficial de las aristas de las particulas de namt a partir de los correspondientes a s\u00edlice y al\u00famina, dada la similitud quimica entre estos materiales y las aristas de las particulas. Ello permiti\u00f3 obtener diagramas de energia de interacci\u00f3n entre las distintas superficies de las particulas de namt inmersas en el medio acuoso. De este modo se puede predecir el tipo de interaccion m\u00e1s favorable (cara-cara, cara-arista o arista-arista) entre superficies en distintas condiciones del medio acuoso.  se estudiaron cuantitativa y sistem\u00e1ticamente las propiedades reol\u00f3gicas de las superficies al variar el ph(entre 3 y 9) o la concentraci\u00f3n salina en disoluci\u00f3n (entre 10-3y 10-1 m de nac1). Para ello, se realizaron ensayos de viscosimetria, oscilometr\u00eda y fluencia-recuperaci\u00f3n. Se concluy\u00f3 que la estructura interna de las suspensiones y sus propiedades viscoel\u00e1sticas vienen determinadas fundamentalmente por las interacciones cara-cara y cara-arista.
