Las estructuras cristalinas del alfa-tip y alfa-zrp se han refinado mediante difraccion combinada de rayos-x y neutrones.  a continuacion se ha determinado la superestructura cubica 3x3x3 del tip2o7 mediante difraccion de rayos-x y resonancia magnetica nuclear. La difraccion de rayos-x se ha usado para analizar el orden a larga distancia, mientras que la resonancia magnetica nuclear se ha empleado para confirmar el orden y las distorsiones locales de los tetraedros fosfato.  se ha descrito la sintesis y caracterizacion del material lihf2(po4)3. Este compuesto presenta una transicion de fase a 235 k que ha sido estudiada mediante dsc, difraccion de rayos-x de baja temperatura y conductividad ionica. La estructura cristalina de las dos fases se ha determinado mediante datos de difraccion de neutrones a 175 k y 320 k.  a continuacion se han preparado materiales liticos y sodicos de estequiometria nasicon con formula general a1+xmxiiim2-ixiv (po4)3 (a=li, na; miii=fe, cr, in; miv=hf, zr, ti, sn). Se han estudiado los aspectos estructurales que se modifican por la sustitucion aliovalente. Para el caso de las muestras sodicas, se ha combinado la espectroscopia rmn y el analisis de rietveld para correlacionar los datos y mecanismos de conductividad con los factores estructurales criticos
