Para un paquete de vorticidad constante ocupando una region simplemente conexa el problema se reduce a determinar la posicion de su frontera la cual es transportada y deformada por el fluido.  el primer resultado original presentado en esta tesis es un nuevo metodo para resolver la ecuacion que rige el movimiento de esta frontera por medio de interpolacion por splines cubicos globales y se prueba la convergencia de este metodo para todo intervalo de tiempo.  el segundo resultado original es el hecho de que una frontera inicialmente analitica, permanece analitica para un intervalo de
