Nuestra investigacion se ha basado en el analisis histoquimico y morfometrico de secciones transversal de 10 micras de espesor de la citada musculatura a nivel de la linea lateral.  el analisis histoquimico ha consistido en la aplicacion de las tecnicas: matpasa y nadh-tr. Mediante estas tecnicas hemos diferenciado tres estratos musculares (rojo o superficial, rosa o intermedio y blanco o profundo), a exceccion de dos especies: seriola dumerilii risso y scomber japonicus houttuyn en las que no hemos observado estrato intermedio. En el musculo rojo se han observado cinco tipos de fibras en base a sus caracteristicas histoquimicas y morfometricas, dos en el musculo rosa y tres en el musculo blanco.  el analisis morfometrico se ha basado en la estimacion de los diametros minimos de las fibras musculares y su tratamiento estadistico: media aritmetica, error estandar de la media, desviacion estandar e intervalos de clase.  los resultados ponene de manifiesto que cada especie presenta peculiaridades en cuanto a tipos de fibras, actividades matpasica y oxidativa, tama\u00f1o fibril en los diferentes estratos musculares. No obstante, hemos observado que dentro de cada orden y familia hay algunas caracteristicas que se repiten en la mayoria de las especies que los integran.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos
