De entre las distintas modalidades posibles para la red de distribucion catv, una infraestructura mixta basada en fibra\/cable (hfc\/ hybrid fiber coax), en la cual se utiliza fibra optica unicamente hasta las proximidades de la manzana o el edificio, redistribuyendo posteriormente mediante la red coaxial tradicional, se nos presenta hoy en dia como la mas adecuada.  de igual forma, las redes matv (master antenna television) y smatv (satellite master antenna television) utilizan la clasica red de distribucion coaxial a base de derivadores, distribuidores y tomas. Este tipo de red tradicional se muestra tambien aplicable para la distribucion de se\u00f1ales de television digital de proxima implantacion.  en esta tesis se desarrolla un algoritmo de dise\u00f1o de redes de distribucion de se\u00f1ales de television que proporciona una solucion mejorada de la red de distribucion coaxial, con respecto a la que se obtiene por los metodos de dise\u00f1o tradicionales utilizados en la practica. Para ello se introducen los conceptos de \u00abred de atenuacion minima\u00bb y \u00abred de desequilibrio minimo\u00bb que sirven de base para el desarrollo del algoritmo que, para una geometria de red y un conjunto de materiales dado, proporciona la solucion mas adecuada en cuanto a reduccion de nivel de se\u00f1al necesario en la cabecera para satisfacer los requerimientos de calidad en la toma mas desfavorable de la instalacion, y que a su vez permite conseguir el menor desequilibrio posible entre la toma mas desfavorable y la mas favorable en cada ramal de la instalacion.  la
