Dise\u00f1o: estudio retrospectivo de 162 pacientes con ccr. Determinaciones:  estudio inmunohistoquimico de p53 (pab1801), mdm2 (if2), p21waf1 (waf1), ciclina d1 (dcs-6) y pcna (pc10).  resultados: p53 se expreso en el 59% de ccrs. Su expresion se asocio con el tama\u00f1o (p=0,005), alto estadio (p=0,04), expresion de mdm2 (p=0,000) e inversamente a la expresion de p21 (p=0,02). Mdm2 se expreso en 26% de tumores, y se correlaciono con la invasion local (p=0.04) y con la ausencia de p21 (p=0,03). P21 se expreso en el 39% de ccrs y se asocio con ausencia de metastasis ganglionares (p=0,005), pero no con el indice de proliferacion celular (ip). Ciclina d1 se expreso en 41% de tumores y se asocio a expresion de p21 (p=0,005) y a un alto ip (p=0,02). No hubo diferencias en la expresion de p21 segun p53 se expresase por alteracion genica o estabilizacion por mdm2 (p=0,51). P53 fue predictor pronostico independiente de menor supervivencia global y por estadios, y pcna para pacientes en estadios a y b.  conclusiones: 1) la expresion de p53 se debe a estabilizacion por mdm2 en la cuarta parte de ccrs; 2) la sobreexpresion de p21waf1 en ccrs es un hecho frecuente y heterogeneo que no refleja el estado mutacional de p53 ni un bajo ip, pero que se asocia a la expresion de ciclina d1; 3) en ccrs, p53 a\u00f1ade informacion pronostica independiente en la supervivencia global y por estadios.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis doctoral
