La funci\u00f3n endotelial est\u00e1 mediada por la expresi\u00f3n de receptores de superficie cuya interacci\u00f3n con sus ligandos espec\u00edficos (como es el caso de vegf y sus receptores) regula, entre otros, los procesos de tr\u00e1fico leucocitario y la angiog\u00e9nesis. La formaci\u00f3n de nuevos vasos sangu\u00edneos o el proceso angiog\u00e9nico tiene lugar en condiciones normales y patol\u00f3gicas. As\u00ed, el crecimiento embrionario o la cicatrizaci\u00f3n de heridas son procesos fisiol\u00f3gicos que cursan con la neoformaci\u00f3n de vasos, que tambi\u00e9n aparecen, entre otros, en procesos patol\u00f3gicos como son el crecimiento de tumores s\u00f3lidos, met\u00e1stasis, retinopat\u00edas diab\u00e9ticas o hemangiomas.  los objetivos planteados para la realizaci\u00f3n de esta tesis doctoral han sido:  * estudio de la expresi\u00f3n de los receptores de vegf, kdr y flt-1 en respuesta a la denudaci\u00f3n mec\u00e1nica en c\u00e9lulas endoteliales.  * estudio de los mecanismos transcripcionales que dan lugar a la inducci\u00f3n del gen flt-1 tras procesos de denudaci\u00f3n endotelial.  * estudio de la expresi\u00f3n del receptor de vegf 165 neuropolina-1 frente a diversos est\u00edmulos angiog\u00e9nicos.  despu\u00e9s del trabajo experimental pudimos llegar a las siguientes conclusiones:  * la expresi\u00f3n de prote\u00edna de la mol\u00e9cula kdr (vegfr-2) aumenta a partir de las 16 horas tanto en respuesta a la denudaci\u00f3n mec\u00e1nica como al tratamiento con el \u00e9ster de forbol pma en c\u00e9lulas endoteliales, mientras que el nivel de rna mensajero se mantiene estable.  * los niveles de prote\u00edna de flt-1 (vegfr-1) aumentan a partir de las 5 horas y con un m\u00e1ximo a las 15 horas en respuesta a la denudaci\u00f3n mec\u00e1nica de c\u00e9lulas endotelilales. Esta inducci\u00f3n viene acompa\u00f1ada de una fuerte subida de su rna mensajero a 3 horas tras la estimulaci\u00f3<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis doctoral
